Hometyre appointed Alpha Wave Media in early 2010 to redesign the old website and implement a new online marketing campaign to improve web presence and therefore increase sales generated by the website.
Hometyre is one of the largest tyre retailers in the UK, offering a wide range of tyres and mobile tyre fitting services nationwide.
The client needed website redesign and a more structured digital marketing strategy, including natural and paid search, e-mail marketing and social networking.
Work
Website re-design in Drupal. Our fundamental aims were to improve usability, restructure product pages, build unique landing pages, and thus to allow a greater scope for SEO and improve ranking potential.
Alpha Wave Media implemented a structured SEO strategy to ensure constant growth, good rankings and website visibility. Our approach to website optimisation is aimed at not only making a website better for search engines but better for the target audience. The website re-design set the foundations for our ongoing SEO campaign. This included keyword research and analysis, the creation of new landing pages, content creation, on-site optimisation, HTML code optimisation, link-building, as well as reporting and ongoing performance analysis. Our future plans include focusing increasingly on long-tail rankings, local search, Google Product Search and more use of social media.
Alpha Wave Media restructured the existing Adwords campaign to optimise and localise paid search results. This included the creation of a number of specific Ad Groups, geographical localisation, keyword analysis and performance analysis.
Results
Natural search traffic increased by 312% between February and November 2010.
Sales generated by the website have increased by 279%.
For an online retailer, visibility and brand awareness on the web are crucial for generating sales. Alpha Wave Media's structured approach to the website re-design and the strategic combination of SEO and Adwords have greatly improved usability, visitor-engagement and have significantly increased traffic.
